Around The Coyote
Around the Coyote, a 501(c)3 non-profit, supports, promotes and makes accessible Chicago's multidisciplinary arts community. Their activities enhance public discourse and provide creative outlets for emerging artists. Year-round programming includes multi-media arts festivals featuring visual art, theater, dance, film, music, video and poetry in the spring and fall; art exhibitions in the Around the Coyote gallery; an artist-in-residence program; membership opportunities for artists and art aficionados; educational outreach for all ages through multi-media art workshops, lectures, collaborations with local schools and agencies, and career development workshops for artists. Programming is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the CityArts Program 2 grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
Elizabeth Bagby
Elizabeth Bagby, a Chicago writer, actor, and musician, opened for The Strange Dreams of No One in Particular and wrote the song "Tantalus" to commemorate it. Bagby cofounded Sansculottes Theater Company in 2004. In 2006 Sansculottes and Chicago's Storefront Theater produced her musical Practical Anatomy. She has also contributed songs to the shows Tuxedo Love (Theatre 5.2.1), Patriot Act III: Rise of the Machines (Sansculottes), and As You Like It, The Only Love Gods, and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Velvet Willies), among others. Bagby has performed with numerous companies, including the Right Brain Project, Striding Lion, Tangerine Arts Group, Trap Door, Chicago ScriptWorks, Raven, Talisman, the Velvet Willies, and Theatre 5.2.1. Her writing has appeared in Conversely, The Writing Group Book (Chicago Review Press), and Dramatics. In September 2007, Press 53 will publish her debut novel, The Crazy Garden.
Brenda Barrie
Brenda Barrie is an actor working the the Chicago area and she worked on Tantalus Theatre Group's Ragnarok. Brenda's personal mission is to find a theatre that will allow me to collaborate, learn, and continue to diversify her talents.
She is available for various realms of theatre as well as film, commercials, conventions, industrials, print, promotions, television, and tradeshows.
Isaiah E. Brooms
Isaiah E. Brooms has been gracious enough to lend his time and talents to several Tantalus productions (Agememnon 02, Slide, and The Serpent Woman) as both an actor and a collaborator. Isiah also is the creator driving force behind the upcoming BradleyGhostLight.com, a networking site for theatre majors from Bradley University
Jessica Pribble
Jessica Pribble has been a costume designer in Chicago since 2002, having worked with such companies as Quest Theatre Ensemble, Tantalus Theatre Group, Circle Theatre, Bailiwick Repertory, Polarity Ensemble Theatre, Raven Theatre Company, and The Side Project. She received her bachelors degree in Theatre Performance and Religious Studies from Bradley University and until recently served as managing director of Tantalus Theatre Group before stepping down to pursue her MFA in Costume Design from Purdue University. Recent designs include The Taming of the Shrew with Kentucky Shakespeare Festival’s Globe Players and Cirque Shanghai - Bai Xi at Navy Pier.
Quest Theatre Ensemble
Quest Theatre Ensemble is dedicated to being the People's theatre of Chicago by creating productions that Inform, Delight, Inspire and Unite. Committed to making theater accessible to everyone, the Ensemble chooses stories that have universal appeal and finds innovative ways to engage the community.
Tantalus has been happy to work with Quest in their yearly celebration of drums, puppets and dance Questfest.
